Is it really aircraft grey?

Is it really aircraft grey? It looks blue-grey in most of the photos. One of the variants in the ebay related auctions box (the F-4J "77 Custom" with a shield and swords) looks more like the solid grey of the F-14.

It's kind of a blue gray that leans more towards being gray.

Kinda like this German F-4 here

All the good ones.

Man. I saw your review on Youtube, commented there, and now I'm commenting here too...

Why didn't Koto make this one instead of duplicating the same two molds for the models!??

Great review as always VF.

Well the Koto line initially

Well the Koto line initially focused on variations on the Shiranui and Takemikazuchi at first because they are piloted by main characters. They've started to expand to other stuff like the F-18E/F Super Hornet and the F-15 Strike Eagle kits. Kaiyodo had teased an F-4 Revoltech but sadly that line seems dead now. Perhaps Koto will continue on and make some kind of F-4 kit due to how many variants there are.

oh man, yeah, what happened

oh man, yeah, what happened to that whole row of silhouettes that Kaiyodo was showing off? They implied like five or six new releases on the way, then nothing.

Well the Muv-Luv Revoltech

Well the Muv-Luv Revoltech page is still up at Hobby Stock's website but that last update was in June of 2012 so I guess that means it's dead.

Hand pegs of the A3 F-4 and F-16

I was wondering whether the A3 Phantom's rifle can be swapped with that of the A3 Fighting Falcon?

The makers of the figure rationalised the choice of the AMWS-21 on the Phantom since they said it should be depicting its newest variant, though the Americans hardly used this machine on the frontlines and it was officially retired in 2001. I think nations such as Turkey and Egypt make better representatives of the Phantom since they have depicted battle scenarios.

The Phantom should look more like an antique rather than a shelved away American machine if it was equipped with the older WS-16C rifle. On the other hand, the US F-16C Fighting Falcon which appeared in Total Eclipse was equipped with the newer AMWS-21.

Coincidentally, both of these two A3 Volks releases with the default attached weapons are the only mechs that have never appeared in any written scenario so far, not even Hobby Japan's serialised TSFiA.

While the hand pegs look to

While the hand pegs look to be about the same thickness, the F-4's forearms end at an angle that makes impossible to fit the F-16's guns in there.
