New Kotobukiya action figure line "Mode Lock" debuts with FMP Arbalest
This is a surprise. It appears to be a new figure line from kotobukiya, and they are not model kits. These appear to be another modular joint system, similar to the geneblock system if you are familiar with that.
This entry is the Full Metal Panic! TSR Arm Slave Series Arbalest. 150mm tall (a little over 5 inches) and very affordable at 839 yen. Unfortunately not due till 10/2009.

It's coming next month, not October 2009.
I'm still waiting for the diecast M9 I saw a while back, it's very similar to the old Dougram and Votoms Dual Models with a metal frame and different armor parts. Simmilar to the more recent Metal Meterial Gundam Seed line.
It seems from what I've read, that this line is actually a lot like model kits.
I think these will fall somewhere between toys and kits - the closest comparison may be stikfas. You have to cut them off of a sprue, but when done you have an action figure. I'm waiting for confirmation.
