Deskmill 1.0

AltJapan - 18 November, 2008 - 19:28
Deskmill

Translator pal Alex Smith (he of the Phoenix Wright and the Final Fantasy series, perhaps you've heard of them) addressed the chronic complaint in this industry -- lack of exercise due to being chained to one's PC -- by bolting together this McGuyver-esque contraption consisting of a treadmill and a voice-activated MacBookPro. Now the kids can get their damn TV games in English without Alex destroying his body in the process. (If only I were so lucky.)

Anime Stores

Danny Choo - 18 November, 2008 - 19:21

Not only do the Singaporeans get to eat incredible grub every day, they also got access to a ton of anime goodies.
Together with 0ne and Ryukawa who owns KKnM.

Having a look around KKnM, while they have some rare stuff, I also noticed how much of their goodies were very recent releases. Looks like the Singaporeans don't have to wait ten years for something either.
How does your local anime/figure store fair when it comes to getting in things from Japan quickly?

KKnm is located at 91 Bencoolen Street Sunshine Plaza, #01-50. There is a yummy food place on the same floor.

Some of these pics include the other anime shop just opposite of KKnM called Ani Play who also stock a load of stuff. Hmmm. Me wants this figure.

Not going to go through everything here as me gots a full schedule ahead today including another speaking appointment for Animax.
As for the "where are the Japan posts" comments - I leave Singapore tomorrow so the Japan shenanigans continue when I get back.

So will Hot Toys' next Movie Masterpiece license bring them to "The City That Screams"? CLICK THRU to speculate along with me perhaps? THE SPIRIT is a live-action adaptation of a comicbook created by Will Eisner, and is directed by famed comicbook-creator turned director, Frank Miller. The Spirit premieres Christmas 2008 [tagged].
